At Sage Educators, we believe that our success as a small business can only be fully realized if we are able to contribute to the greater good. That's why we are instituting the Sage Educators Summer Project.
In founding Sage, we hoped to create a community supported company that would be able to reach beyond the affluent walls of Mill Valley. The Summer Project will be a chance for our tutors and students to travel to a developing area of great need and donate their time and skills to make a positive impact. Such a program will allow Sage Educators to broaden the reach of our efforts to those people who might not otherwise have the assistance that they so desperately need.
We have recently been invited to stay in the Planet Drum volunteer house in Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador for one month this summer! The costal city has legally committed itself to becoming ecological and sustainable. The Planet Drum foundation has played a major role in Bahia's transition to ecological sustainabililty through various revegetation, education and sustainable development projects. We are not sure what our specific projects are as of yet, but needless to say, we are very excited to be able to volunteer with such a noble and positive organization. We are lucky and grateful that we are able to make a contribution to the greater good through our company, and we promise to make Mill Valley and Marin proud.
