
Maggie Heaps completed her B.A. degree in English literature, with
emphases in creative writing and linguistics, as well as a minor in
Spanish, at West Virginia University. While pursuing her degree,
Maggie was also an active, four-year member of the Phi Theta Kappa
Honor Society.
In January 2008, Maggie was one of nine students selected from 300
applicants to attend a writer’s workshop with the critically acclaimed poet
William Olsen. She is presently working on her first book of poetry,
entitled Undivided Light.

Born and raised in McLean, Virginia, Maggie is eager to embrace the west coast lifestyle.
She is a valuable addition to the Sage team, tutoring everything from elementary social
studies to Algebra 2. In her free time, she strives to branch out, engaging in activities
from painting and singing to kickboxing.
