
Born and raised in Mill Valley, Lindsey Lee Johnson graduated from
Tamalpais High School before embarking on a professional writing and
teaching career. She has written for publications in Chicago and Los
Angeles and was a writer/reporter for LIFE in New York. In 2006 she
co-authored a book about wine, The Art of Decanting, published by
Chronicle Books.
Lindsey received a B.A. degree in English and political science, summa
cum laude, from the University of California at Davis, where she was also
a writing tutor, and an M.F.A. in Professional Writing from the University of
Tamalpais High School before embarking on a professional writing and

Lindsey is excited to be back in Marin as a Sage Educator. When not at Sage, she enjoys
reading literary fiction and non-fiction, discovering new fitness and yoga classes, and
writing two books: a novel about love and family in the North Bay and a memoir about
growing up in Mill Valley.
