
James Aiken received his B.A. from St John's College after completing a study of the
classic works that define Western thought, along with Attic Greek and classical French
to help translate some of man's pivotal works in philosophy, mathematics, literature,
history, music, and the objective sciences. His thesis paper asked questions of physicist
Erwin Schrödinger's little-known essay "What is Life?"
While still in school, James was awarded a scholarship to intern with the research department of orthopedic treatment center Campbell's Clinic, in which time he pursued and solved a new problem in the use of nanomedicine to treat

osteoarthritis. His work was published in two different abstracts by the Orthopedic Research Society (ORS).
Brought up in Memphis, TN, James began mentoring younger peers his junior year in high school with a local community organization, and discovered his passion for tutoring while still an undergraduate. He is super pumped to join the Sage Educators team, helping students with all academic subjects as well as ACT and SAT prep. When James isn't tutoring, he loves practicing yoga, surfing, backpacking, and reading.
