In founding Sage, we sought to create a company that would give back to our local community while also connecting with the world beyond Marin. For our annual Summer Service Project, tutors and students travel to a developing area in order to make a positive impact. We’re proud to contribute to the greater good while also providing our students with experiences that enrich their lives. Since 2007, we’ve developed a partnership with Planet Drum Foundation’s Eco-Ecuador Project in Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador. This coastal city has committed to ecological sustainability, and Planet Drum has helped in this transition through revegetation, education, and thoughtful development. In our trips to Bahia, Sage volunteers have participated in a range of activities, from watering revegetation sites to leading bioregionalism classes for local teens.
